In Gili Trawangan there are over 5000 wild cats that are fed by locals and tourists. Its very important that a sterilisation and castration program is conducted.
Lombok Animal rescue goes to the Gilis every two weeks and conducts in field surgery often assisted by Suzana and premises loaned by Lutwala Dive Centre.
This cat was back on its feet after two hours and made a complete recovery in one day. A injection of long acting antibiotic and antihistamine was given.
